Set2recruit LTD in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on Finance Lead for end-to-end responsibility of the finance function. The role reports to the Managing Director and covers day-to-day accounting, monthly management accounts, and financial analysis to support growth.

You'll close month-end within five business days, liaise with external accountants, and drive improvements in controls and systems as the business scales. Hybrid working in Telford area.

Formación

• Qualified or part-qualified in ACA/ACCA/CIMA or AAT.
• Experience closing monthly management accounts to tight deadlines.
• Hands-on with cloud accounting/ERP platforms (Xero, Sage or Dynamics 365 BC).
• Experience reconciling data across integrated systems.
• Advanced Excel with financial modelling.
• Ability to lead end-to-end finance function with a commercial mindset.
• Clear communicator able to explain numbers to non-finance colleagues.

Responsabilidades

• Run day-to-day processing across ledgers, bank postings, journals, expenses and card transactions.
• Complete daily bank reconciliations, manage cash and cashflow forecasts.
• Run credit control and debt collection, and resolve queries.
• Close month-end within five business days and produce monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet and cashflow).
• Post accruals, prepayments, depreciation and recurring journals; balance sheet reconciliations.
• Reconcile recurring revenue, contracts and billing between PSA and finance system; ensure integrations accurate.
• Build reports, KPIs and dashboards including MRR, margin and profitability by service and customer.
• Partner with the MD and leadership on pricing, budgeting and forecasting.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns and support year-end with external advisers; payroll processes.

About the Role

This is a full-service, hands-on finance role with end-to-end responsibility for the company's finance function. Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll own everything from day-to-day accounting and transaction processing, through the monthly management accounts, to the financial analysis that helps the leadership team make decisions as the business grows. You'll close month-end within five business days and act as the main point of contact for the external accountants and advisers.

What You'll Be Doing

• Running day-to-day processing across the sales, purchase and general ledgers, bank postings, journals, expenses and company card transactions
• Completing daily bank reconciliations, managing cash and keeping cashflow forecasts up to date
• Running credit control and debt collection, and resolving customer and supplier queries
• Closing month-end within five business days and producing monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet and cashflow)
• Posting accruals, prepayments, deferred and accrued income, depreciation and recurring journals, and keeping balance sheet reconciliations clean
• Reconciling recurring revenue, contracts and billing between the PSA and the finance system, and keeping integrations accurate end to end
• Building reports, KPIs and dashboards, including MRR, margin and profitability by service and customer, with variance analysis against budget
• Partnering the MD and leadership team on pricing, investment, budgeting and forecasting
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns, supporting year-end with external advisers, and supporting payroll and pensions processes
• Strengthening financial controls and improving finance processes and systems as the business scales

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or AAT) - qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
• Experience running a monthly management accounts close to tight deadlines
• Hands-on experience of a cloud accounting or ERP platform such as Xero, Sage or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Experience working with integrated line-of-business systems and reconciling data between platforms
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulae and financial modelling
• Comfortable owning the full finance function end to end, with a self-starting, commercially minded approach
• Clear communicator who can explain the numbers to non-finance colleagues

Desirable:

• MSP, IT services or recurring-revenue business experience
• Experience with a PSA tool such as Halo PSA, ConnectWise or Autotask
