• Proven payroll and VAT experience across multiple entities.

Responsibilities

• Managing, mentoring, and developing finance staff - accounts payable and receivable.
• Running payroll for five entities, ~84 staff and handling month end journals using Sage payroll.
• Quarterly VAT returns.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, liaising with budget holders to provide financial insight.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Executing bank reconciliations, intercompany and supplier payments.
• Supporting the CFO with the day to day running of the financial functions.

Locally based business established nearly 40 years ago are looking to appoint a Finance Manager. This role will be instrumental in keeping the finance function of the business running smoothly, whilst supporting 2 finance team members.

Your duties as the Finance Manager will include:
