Job summary

Cobb & Jones Recruitment Limited is assisting a well-established FMCG group in Maidstone to recruit a Finance Manager for a hybrid role. The successful candidate will combine financial control with commercial analysis to support rapid growth.

You will lead monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting, partner with operational teams, and drive improvements in margins and internal controls while presenting insights to senior management.

Qualifications

• Finalist level accountant or qualified by experience.
• Experience in retail, FMCG, manufacturing, distribution or fast-paced commercial environment.
• Strong management accounting and financial analysis skills.
• Experience partnering with non-finance stakeholders.
• Excellent Excel and reporting capabilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently whilst contributing as part of a wider team.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts, forecasts and annual budgets.
• Deliver insightful analysis of business performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
• Partner with commercial and operational stakeholders to support decision making.
• Present financial performance and commentary to senior management.
• Drive margin analysis, reporting improvements and financial controls.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, challenging assumptions where required.
• Assist with projects, process improvements and business change initiatives.
• Support audit and compliance activities while maintaining a strong control environment.

Are you a commercially focused finance professional looking to combine financial control, business partnering and commercial analysis within a successful and growing business?

Our client is a well-established organisation operating within the FMCG sector. With a strong reputation, ambitious growth plans and a genuinely collaborative culture, they are seeking a Finance Manager to join their Kent-based team in a highly visible and commercially focused role.

The Role

The role will support the delivery of financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and commercial decision-making across a key business area.

You will ideally have:

• Finalist level accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) or be qualified by experience.


• Experience within retail, FMCG, manufacturing, distribution, wholesale or a fast-paced commercial environment.


• Strong management accounting and financial analysis skills.
