Job summary

Search Consultancy LTD in Leeds is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the full spectrum of transactional finance in a fast-paced, high-energy team. The role offers a £50,000–£55,000 salary and a sociable culture that values hard work and achievement.

The successful candidate will oversee ledgers, reconciliations and monthly reporting, with hybrid working after probation. ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification and 1+ year post-qualified experience are essential.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification is essential.
• At least one year post-qualified experience is essential.
• Experience in a professional finance environment is expected.
• Board-level interactions desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee purchase/sales ledgers, cash books, loan schedules and ensure accurate reconciliations.
• Maintain accruals, prepayments & amortisation schedules.
• Prepare management accounts including budget variance analysis.
• Lead VAT & CIS return submissions.
• Supervise invoice processing & cash book maintenance.
• Manage statutory accounts, audits & financial reporting.

What You'll Do:

• Oversee purchase/sales ledgers, cash books, loan schedules and ensure accurate reconciliations
• Maintain accruals, prepayments & amortisation schedules
• Prepare management accounts, including budget variance analysis
• Lead VAT & CIS return submissions
• Supervise invoice processing & cash book maintenance
• Manage statutory accounts, audits & financial reporting
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors & key stakeholders
• Present finance reports to shareholders & board members

What We're Looking For:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (essential)
• At least one year post-qualified experience (essential)
• Experience working in a professional finance environment
• Confidence in board-level interactions (experience desirable, but not essential)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proactive mindset with a drive for process improvement
