Job summary

Royal Holloway Students’ Union is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the operation of the Finance function and drive robust financial management, reporting, controls and compliance. You will provide strategic financial insight and support decision-making for the Union’s sustainability, working with the Head of Finance and Resources and Management Team.

The role includes leading, supporting and developing a high-performing Finance team, with a 35-hour week and a salary of £53k–£58k,

Location: Royal Holloway Students’ Union

Salary: £53k - £58k per year

The role

We’re looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead the effective operation of our Finance function. You’ll oversee robust financial management, accurate reporting, strong internal controls and statutory compliance, while providing strategic financial insight to support decision-making and the Union’s long-term sustainability.

Working closely with the Head of Finance and Resources and the Management Team, you’ll help ensure our financial resources are used effectively and aligned with organisational priorities. You’ll also play a key role in leading, supporting and developing a high-performing Finance team.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Grade and salary range: Grade 8, £53k - £58k. Salary is subject to RHSU’s Pay & Reward Policy.

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Hours can be arranged in line with RHSU’s flexible working approach and to suit the needs of the organisation.
