Job summary

Qualifications

  • Accountancy qualification or part qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a finance role with responsibility for financial reporting and control.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Experience in preparing management accounts and financial reports.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, invoicing, and transactions.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor financial status and performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Manage banking activities, including international payments and direct debits.
  • Prepare management accounts for reporting and monitoring purposes.
  • Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and variances.
  • Support budget monitoring and operational financial planning.
  • Represent the finance function at meetings as required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance financial awareness and practises across the organisation.
  • Actively learn from performance outcomes to drive improvement.
  • Assist with quarterly VAT returns and annual accounts preparation.
  • Maintain oversight of statutory financial records and ensure adherence to financial policies.

Part Time Finance Manager

40,000 - 45,000 FTE
Permanent, Part Time (2 or 3 Days)

8am-4pm, 9am-5pm or 10am - 6pm
