Job summary

Royal Holloway Students’ Union is seeking a Retail Operations Manager (Interim) to drive the effectiveness, consistency and commercial success of RHSU’s retail operations. Retail Operations Manager (Interim)

Location: Royal Holloway Students’ Union

Salary: £45k - £48k per year

The role

We’re looking for a Retail Operations Manager to drive the effectiveness, consistency and commercial success of RHSU’s retail operations. You’ll lead the development and implementation of improved systems, processes and standards, working closely with outlet managers to strengthen compliance, improve reporting and support high-performing teams.

This fixed-term role will focus on delivering sustainable operational improvements, reducing risk and ensuring our retail services are well-positioned for future growth. You’ll also contribute to the development of our e-commerce and merchandise activity, using systems and customer data to improve commercial performance and enhance the customer experience.

Working as part of our wider commercial strategy, you’ll play a key role in improving operational efficiency, strengthening compliance and establishing robust processes that support the long-term sustainability of RHSU’s retail services.

Job Type: Full-time, Fixed Term (12 months)

Grade and salary range: Grade 7, £45k - £48k. Salary is subject to RHSU’s Pay & Reward Policy.

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Hours can be arranged in line with RHSU’s flexible working approach and to suit the needs of the organisation.
