Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration.
• Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Processing invoices, supplier payments and reconciliations.
• Monitoring cash flow, forecasting and financial planning.
• Preparing monthly financial reports and supporting management accounts.
• Managing company expenses and financial records.
• Assisting with VAT returns and maintaining compliance.
• Liaising with external accountants, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Supporting payroll administration when required.
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.

The Role

As Finance Manager, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day financial activities of the business, ensuring accurate financial records, supporting decision-making and maintaining effective financial controls.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration
• Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Processing invoices, supplier payments and reconciliations

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Accounts Manager, Bookkeeper or similar finance position
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Experience with accounting software, including Sage or similar systems
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• A proactive approach and confidence working independently
• High levels of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information

Desirable

• AAT qualification or equivalent accounting experience
• Experience preparing management accounts and financial reporting
• Knowledge of cash flow forecasting and budget management
• Experience working within an SME environment
