Job summary

Recruitment Solutions (North West) Ltd is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day finance function within a growing business in Lancashire. You will own reporting, budgeting and financial controls while supporting senior management with insightful analyses.

Ideal candidate will be a senior finance professional with experience in management accounts, month-end processes and team leadership. AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualifications are desirable. Attention to detail is essential for success.

Job description

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Client in their expanding and well-regarded Finance Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function and play a key role in supporting the wider business.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Managing the day-to-day finance function and overseeing the finance team
• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Managing the month-end and year-end processes
• Overseeing purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control functions
• Monitoring cash flow, budgets and business performance
• Preparing and analysing financial information for senior management
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Ensuring accurate and timely reconciliations
• Maintaining strong financial controls and processes
• Liaising with auditors, accountants, banks and other external stakeholders
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Management Accountant or similar senior finance position
• AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification/part-qualification is desirable
• Strong understanding of month-end, management accounts and financial reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Experience managing or supervising a finance team
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
• Commercially aware with the ability to communicate financial information effectively
• Organised, proactive and able to work independently
