Job summary

This role owns the day-to-day finance function, taking responsibility for month-end close, production of monthly Management Accounts, budgets, variances, and cash flow forecasts, while supporting growth through better systems and processes.

We seek an AAT qualified (or higher) accountant or someone qualified by experience, with solid management accounting experience and a proactive mindset toward financial controls and process improvements.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or higher or qualified by experience.
• Experience in management accounting.
• Proactive approach to system and process improvement and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Complete month-end processes and produce monthly Management Accounts.
• Prepare budgets and report on variances.
• Weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts.
• Perform weekly bank reconciliations and liaise with the bank.
• Submit quarterly Group VAT data to accountants, review, and process payments.
• Raise sales invoices and manage credit control.
• Assist in staff recruitment, management, and development of the department as the company grows.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
• Process and pay supplier invoices.
• Monitor performance against financial targets and recommend actions.
• Continuously improve finance department processes to meet changing business needs.
