Job summary

Nous is hiring a head of finance to own the day-to-day engine room of finance in a fast-growing UK consumer-tech environment. The role is deliberately hands-on and technical, covering reconciliations, month-end and controls as the business scales with near-zero defects.

You will design robust finance processes, partner with engineering and product, and help prepare the first external audit while shaping investor reporting infrastructure. A genuine controller-track path awaits the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Around 5+ years finance experience in practice or industry
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA with 2–3 years PQE
• Hands-on reconciliations, invoicing and month-end
• Strong analytical mind and problem-solving in fast-changing environments
• Experience with data tooling beyond Excel

Responsibilities

• Own high-volume reconciliations across customers, suppliers and providers
• Manage invoicing cycle across supplier/provider base
• Oversee end-to-end finance operations: payments, payouts, fees
• Build automation into finance workflows using data/AI tools
• Lead month-end close and prepare management accounts
• Design and embed financial controls across payments and vendor management
• Prepare for external audit and support investor reporting
