Job summary

Nous is a fast-growing consumer-tech company in the UK. We are seeking a hands-on finance professional to own the day-to-day engine room of our finance function, driving reconciliations, invoicing, and end-to-end finance operations.

You will design controls, systems and automation to scale with near-zero defects, while collaborating with engineering, product and GTM teams. A STEM background and strong accounting are essential, with a track record of high performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant finance experience from practice or industry.
• Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 2–3 years PQE, or equivalent.
• Experience with data tooling beyond Excel and traditional accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Own high-volume reconciliations for customer, supplier, and provider transactions.
• Manage invoicing cycle across supplier and provider base.
• Oversee finance operations end to end including payments and payouts.
• Build automation into finance workflows using data and AI tooling.
• Maintain accurate financial records and monthly close.
• Design and embed financial controls across payments and approvals.
• Prepare for external audit and support governance.
