Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organised Finance, Compliance and Payroll Officer to support the exciting five year National Lottery Heritage Funded Red Squirrel Recovery Network (RSRN) Programme.

In this vital role, you will assist the Programme Manager in developing and implementing robust financial procedures, prepare financial reports for funders and partners, and manage income and expenditure data using our accounting system (Xledger) and procedures relating to Restricted Funds as set out in the SORP. You will oversee contracts, support project partners, and help manage a small community grants scheme, including due diligence and grants panel coordination. Additionally, you will lead on document management, provide administrative support, and handle HR and payroll processing for the team. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a high-profile conservation initiative with national impact.

The role is for 35 hours per week on a 5 year contract. NWT operates a flexitime system.

This salary starts at C1: £26,195 per annum.
