Job summary

phs Besafe and phs Wastekit seek a Finance Business Partner in the Midlands to lead FP&A, partner with operations and senior leadership, and drive profitability with data-driven insight. You will build Power BI reporting and strategic financial support across two fast-growing units.

The role combines hands-on business partnering with dashboard development, aiming to strengthen a data-led culture and improve decision-making across revenue, costs, and working capital.

Qualifications

• A recognised accountancy qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Significant experience in finance business partnering, FP&A or management accounting.
• Hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards and reporting suites.
• Strong commercial, analytical and financial modelling skills.
• A proven ability to improve profitability through commercial insight and effective challenge.
• A strong understanding of KPIs, working capital, stock, fixed assets and value creation.
• Excellent stakeholder management, presentation and influencing skills.
• The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance audiences
• A proactive, collaborative and detail-focused approach, with resilience and adaptability.
• A continuous improvement mindset and a focus on turning data into action.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear financial guidance and commercial insight to support profitable growth, including budgeting, forecasting and trading reviews.
• Develop financial models, investment appraisals, business cases and profitability analysis to support pricing, retention and margin improvement.
• Lead the development of Power BI dashboards and management reporting across revenue, profitability, stock, commissions, assets and key performance indicators.
• Oversee sales commission reporting, fixed assets, depreciation, stock valuation, reconciliations and working capital performance.
• Maintaining strong financial controls and providing insightful commentary on monthly management accounts, audits and year-end reporting.
