Job summary

phs Wastekit, part of phs Group, seeks a driven Business Development Consultant to grow our Midlands customer base and win new business across the UK. You will report to the Regional Sales Manager and collaborate with Field Account Managers to identify opportunities, build relationships, and close deals.

You will manage a strong pipeline, forecast revenue, and contribute to sustainable waste-management solutions while representing the company professionally in every interaction.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in new business development or hunter-style sales.
• Experience delivering against demanding sales targets.
• CRM experience, ideally Salesforce (SFDC).

At phs Wastekit, we're looking for an ambitious Business Development Consultant to help grow our customer base across the Midlands region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a market-leading organisation and play a key role in delivering sustainable waste management solutions to businesses across the UK.

Working closely with the Regional Sales Manager and Field Account Managers, you'll be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities while building long-term, profitable customer relationships.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Business Development Consultant, you will:

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive territory growth.

• Maintain accurate records and activity updates through CRM systems.
• Build strong relationships with key decision-makers across a variety of sectors.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• A proven track record in a new business development or hunter-style sales role.
• Experience delivering against demanding sales and growth targets.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• The ability to identify opportunities and convert them into profitable business.
• Experience managing and developing business across a large geographical territory.
• Strong knowledge of modern sales methodologies.
• CRM experience, ideally using Salesforce (SFDC).

• Confidence working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
