Job summary

phs Besafe and phs Wastekit are seeking a Finance Business Partner to drive commercial insight and lead Power BI reporting from the Midlands. You will partner with operational, sales and senior leadership to improve performance and profitability, turning data into actionable decisions.

You will own budgeting, forecasting, investment appraisals and management reporting, while developing financial models to support pricing, retention and margin improvements.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification.
• Significant experience in finance business partnering, FP&A or management accounting.
• Hands-on Power BI dashboard development and reporting.
• Strong commercial, analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Proven ability to improve profitability through commercial insight.
• Understanding of KPIs, working capital, stock and fixed assets.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-finance audiences.
• Collaborative, proactive and detail-focused with resilience and adaptability.
• Continuous improvement mindset and turning data into action.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear financial guidance and commercial insight to support profitable growth, including budgeting, forecasting and trading reviews.
• Develop financial models, investment appraisals, business cases and profitability analysis to support pricing and margin improvement.
• Lead development of Power BI dashboards and management reporting across revenue, profitability, stock, commissions, assets and KPIs.
• Oversee sales commission reporting, fixed assets, depreciation, stock valuation, reconciliations and working capital performance.
• Maintain strong financial controls and provide insightful commentary on monthly management accounts, audits and year-end reporting.

Are you a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys turning complex data into clear, practical insight? This is a key leadership role supporting phs Besafe and phs Wastekit, partnering with operational, sales and senior leadership teams to improve performance, profitability and strategic decision-making. You will combine hands-on business partnering with the development of Power BI reporting, helping build a stronger data-led culture across both businesses.

The Finance Business Partner role at phs Besafe and phs Wastekit will involve:

• Providing clear financial guidance and commercial insight to support profitable growth, including budgeting, forecasting and trading reviews.
• Developing financial models, investment appraisals, business cases and profitability analysis to support pricing, retention and margin improvement.
• Leading the development of Power BI dashboards and management reporting across revenue, profitability, stock, commissions, assets and key performance indicators.
• Overseeing sales commission reporting, fixed assets, depreciation, stock valuation, reconciliations and working capital performance.
• Maintaining strong financial controls and providing insightful commentary on monthly management accounts, audits and year-end reporting.

The ideal candidate for a Finance Business Partner at phs Besafe and phs Wastekit will have:

• A recognised accountancy qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Significant experience in finance business partnering, FP&A or management accounting.
• Hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards and reporting suites.
• Strong commercial, analytical and financial modelling skills.
• A proven ability to improve profitability through commercial insight and effective challenge.
• A strong understanding of KPIs, working capital, stock, fixed assets and value creation.
• Excellent stakeholder management, presentation and influencing skills.
• The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance audiences
• A proactive, collaborative and detail-focused approach, with resilience and adaptability.
