Qualifications

  • Fully qualified or finalist for CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Experience in the Legal sector is desirable.

Job description

Location- We are predominantly based in the North West of England, with offices in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Bolton & Southport, as well as a team in Cambridge. Finance Business Partner | Fletchers Group

Main Responsibilities :

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Conduct thorough analysis of financial data to provide insights into business performance, trends and opportunities for non-legal departments.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to identify areas for improvement and support decision making processes
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly MI packs and weekly Flash reports, detailing variance analysis and related commentary

Business Partnering

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Non-Legal Directors, providing financial guidance and support to achieve strategic goals and objectives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to understand business needs, challenges and opportunities

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budget and reforecasting processes for assigned departments, working closely with budget holders to develop realistic and achievable financial plans detailing both revenue and costs
  • Monitor budget variances and provide proactive recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities
  • Proactively look for improvements within existing processes to maximise efficiency and accuracy

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Fully qualified or finalist for CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to build relationships across all levels of the business, and communicate effectively with financial and non-financial teams
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to respond to changing and emergent priorities

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in the Legal sector
  • Use of a case management system
  • Commercially led
