The Emergency Services Network (ESN) is a huge strategic priority for BT and our commitment to do the best for our customer and our country. ESN will be one of the most advanced Emergency Services Networks in the world. and BT is proud to the official supplier providing mission critical and trusted communications for Britain’s Emergency Services. The ESN will replace the existing Airwave network and building upon on EE’s existing 4G network and to provide essential new voice, data services, and critical communications services to 300,000 members of frontline emergency service users.

As ESN Financial Business Partner, you are crucial to supporting the delivery of this mission critical infrastructure andthe programme on a day-to-day basis, partnering with the programme to achieve the financial plans. Key stakeholders are sub-programmes (Delivery, Service and Commercial teams) and the Home Office.

The successful candidate will be cleared to BPSS (or equivalent) as a minimum. You may even be required to undergo National Security Vetting (e.g. CTC, SC or NPPV).

What you’ll be doing

• Business partner with sub-programmes to provide financial insights to inform strategic decision making, owning sub-programme end to end financials. Establish working relationships with stakeholders, building rapport and becoming a trusted advisor
• Lead delivery of end-to-end financial planning and reporting processes for the sub-programme, providing input and insight to inform business partnering activities, decision making and performance management.
• Provide challenge and insight to programme to deliver within budget envelope
• Implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial processes
• Ensure timely and accurate billing to customer, including query and dispute resolution, where required

• Suitable candidates will be qualified Accountants - ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, working to tight deadlines
• Possess bold and confident thinking with a proven background of challenging the status quo where appropriate
• Excellent Data Analysis skills and able to present findings using multiple tools
• Exposure to Project Management and ability to adapt to changing deliverable

This role offers a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
