Job summary

Alpine Formula 1 Team is seeking a Finance Business Partner to support the Operations and Technical functions in a fast-paced F1 environment. You will partner with senior leaders to provide financial insight, drive performance and enable strategic decision-making.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting and reporting for Opex; perform scenario modelling, investment appraisals and capital expenditure planning; and ensure compliance with cost caps and financial regulations.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or finalist with relevant experience.
• Experience in Finance Business Partnering, FP&A or commercial finance.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling skills.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience in capital expenditure planning and investment appraisal.
• Familiar with modern management information systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as the finance business partner to Operational and Technical leaders, providing financial support and challenge.

• Deliver analysis of financial performance, identify risks and opportunities.

• Collaborate with Purchasing and stakeholders for resource deployment and decision-making.

Finance Business Partner – Operations & Technical

We are looking for a collaborative and analytically driven Finance Business Partner to support our Operational and Technical functions. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a fast-paced Formula 1 environment, partnering with senior leaders to provide financial insight, drive performance, and support strategic decision-making.

As a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in managing operating and capital expenditure, supporting forecasting and planning activities, and helping the business optimise performance within financial regulations and cost cap requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the finance business partner to Operational and Technical department leaders, providing robust financial support and challenge.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and reporting activities for operating expenditure across designated departments.
• Deliver insightful analysis of financial performance, identifying risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Support decision-making through scenario modelling, investment appraisals, resource allocation reviews and cost-saving initiatives.
• Manage capital expenditure planning and reporting of designated departments, ensuring investment plans align with business objectives and financial targets.
• Provide regular performance reporting and recommendations to senior leadership teams.
• Support compliance with Formula 1 financial regulations and cost cap requirements, helping stakeholders understand financial impacts and opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with Purchasing and operational stakeholders to support effective deployment of resources and commercial decision-making.
• Contribute to wider finance projects, continuous improvement initiatives and ad hoc analysis.

About You

We're looking for an experienced finance professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills.

You’ll Ideally Have

• Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or finalist with relevant experience.
• Proven experience in a Finance Business Partnering, FP&A or commercial finance role.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling skills.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge and influence at all levels.
• Experience of capital expenditure planning and investment appraisal techniques.
• Understanding of modern management information systems and strong system skills (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, PowerBI)
• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial reporting systems.
