Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Banbury is seeking a Finance Business Partner to support growth in Healthcare and Specialist Logistics. In a fast-paced, high-volume environment, you will provide financial insight and commercial support that drives performance and delivers value for the business and customers.

You will partner with Operations, customers and internal stakeholders, aligning commercial objectives with operations while spotting profitability opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in a similar role with relevant experience.
• Ability to self-direct and manage multiple projects.
• Ability to influence key decision makers at all levels.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting processes and terminology.
• Relevant financial qualification (ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to Finance and operating management to ensure integrity of reported numbers while managing commercial risks and opportunities.
• Provide commercial knowledge base and advice for finance and operations communities.
• Provide Commercial and Financial support to operational locations across multiple sites/contacts as required.
• Ownership of forecasting and budgeting process for sites/contracts.
• Own customer facing responsibilities in line with contractual requirements.
• Ownership of all financial planning and control for sites/contracts.
• Investment appraisal - provide analytical information to capitalise on opportunities or mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with Ops and Business Development on new proposals and projects with commercial input.
• Start Ups - coordination, production and reporting of Start Up Budget and Operating Budgets.
• Establish robust planning and implementation of business systems and processes at new site(s) including weekly/monthly P&L reporting.

Finance Business Partner - Healthcare and Specialist Logistics

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Banbury / Derby

Benefits include Car allowance £7000, 26 days annual leave. We offer hybrid working. Site is Banbury, however we have an exciting start up in 2027 based in Derby and some travel will be required on a regular basis.

Working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, you'll provide financial insight and commercial support that helps drive performance, influence decision-making, and deliver value for both the business and our customers.

As a trusted partner to Operations, customers, and internal stakeholders, you'll act as the vital link between finance and the wider business. You'll work collaboratively across teams, ensuring commercial objectives are aligned with operational delivery while identifying opportunities to improve profitability and performance.

We're looking for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. Whilst experience within logistics is advantageous, we're equally interested in candidates from other customer‑centric sectors such as retail, FMCG, manufacturing, hospitality, service, or other high‑volume operational businesses where building strong relationships and influencing stakeholders is key to success.

What You'll Do

• Establish a robust planning and implementation of business systems and processes at new operational site(s) including weekly and monthly P&L reporting
