DHL Supply Chain in Northampton seeks an experienced HR Business Partner to support a 500+ workforce across multiple sites. The role combines strategic partnership with hands-on ER and people solutions, travelling for site coverage where needed.

You’ll partner with senior leaders, drive engagement and coach managers to enhance performance, with CIPD-level HR knowledge and a robust employment relations capability.

Qualifications

• Strong HR BP experience in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Proven union relationship management and pay negotiations desirable.
• Solid ER expertise across performance, disciplinaries, grievances and attendance.
• High energy with a passion for culture, engagement and visible HR presence.
• Credible influencer able to challenge and support senior leaders.
• Experience coaching managers to build capability.
• Resilient, adaptable and able to work at pace.
• CIPD studying or qualified with professional HR knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support employee satisfaction, performance, retention and communication at sites.
• Lead ER agenda and relationships with unions at sites.
• Deploy HR priorities: labour flexibility, payroll optimisation, T&C standardisation.
• Provide HR support to start ups, wins and transfers.
• Ensure robust performance management (sickness, discipline, grievance).
• Help managers with workforce planning, organisation design and resourcing.
• Advise managers to ensure compliance with HR policies.

Grade: RCS J Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Location: Northampton Role covers 4 sites - Northampton sites being the regular travel, there is some requirement to travel to Huntingdon and occasionally to Basingstoke Package includes Car/Car allowance, 26 days holiday, Private Healthcare, Bonus Are you an experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment? We're looking for a confident HR professional to join our team. Partnering with senior leaders, you'll provide both strategic and hands-on HR support across a workforce of 500+ colleagues covering 2 main sites - Bedford and Worcester. Based primarily on site, you'll build strong relationships, drive engagement, and deliver practical people solutions that support business performance. You'll bring strong employee relations experience, the ability to manage complex people matters, and a passion for coaching and developing managers. Experience in a unionised environment would be beneficial, along with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. What your day could involve

• Support with employee satisfaction, performance, retention and effective communication at sites.
• Support the ER agenda and lead / support relationships and key processes with unions at sites.
• Deploy the Business HR Priorities, as directed e.g. labour flexibility, OMS, LPMC, payroll optimisation, T&C's standardisation.
• Provide HR support to start ups and business wins, losses and transfers.
• Ensure employee performance management (sickness, discipline, grievance) is robustly supported.
• Support managers to develop and deliver solutions for workforce planning and management including organisation design, forecasting resourcing needs, agency and identifying future talent requirements.
• Act as an advisor to managers to support compliance with HR policies.

What we need from you

• Strong HR Business Partner experience within a customer-centric, operational environment
• Proven union relationship management and pay negotiations experience- desirable
• Solid ER expertise across performance management, disciplinaries, grievances and attendance
• High energy with a genuine passion for culture, engagement and visible HR presence
• Credible influencer, able to challenge and support senior leaders
• Experience building management capability through coaching and pragmatic advice
• Resilient and adaptable, comfortable working at pace
• CIPD studying, qualified or equivalent level of professional HR knowledge
• Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levels
