Job summary

The Fabadousa Group in Maldon, Essex is seeking a Finance Executive to join our team. This early-career role offers broad exposure to management accounting, financial controls and commercial reporting across our businesses, with hands-on responsibilities and study support toward a recognised qualification.

Qualifications

• Some experience in a finance or accounts role, or a relevant degree or qualification.
• Interest in management accounting and developing towards a recognised qualification (AAT, CIMA or ACCA).
• Basic understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and month-end accounting.

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end close by preparing journals, accruals, prepayments and supporting schedules under guidance.
• Complete bank, income and balance sheet reconciliations, investigating differences and escalating issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate fixed asset, intercompany, payroll and VAT records.
• Assist with sales ledger, credit control, purchase ledger and working-capital reporting.
• Work with operational colleagues to gather information, explain variances and follow up agreed actions.
• Manage changing priorities while maintaining accuracy, organisation and attention to detail.
