Job summary

Harvey John is seeking a Finance Assistant in Lancing to support the finance team across two group companies. The role offers full training, with opportunities for progression and study support toward a professional accountancy qualification, including time off for study and exams.

Qualifications

Experience of working in an accounts department.
Experience using computerised accounting systems and MS Office.
Understanding of bookkeeping/accounting concepts.
Highly accurate with attention to detail.
Pro-active and driven with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Ensure accounts receivable and payable activities are performed accurately and timely.
Ensure that financial transactions are accurate.
Process authorised expense claims, direct debit payments, credit card statements and petty cash.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations including bank reconciliations.
Provide support to internal Account Handlers and Customer Service Team by answering enquiries related to financial transactions.
Assist with new system implementation.
Ad hoc duties as required by the Assistant Financial Controller.
