Job summary

Thermoteknix Systems Ltd. in Cambridge is seeking a Finance Assistant to support day-to-day financial operations. The role covers accounts payable, data entry, and using Sage software to process transactions.

The candidate should be highly organized and able to work both independently and as part of a team. The ideal applicant has 3–4 years of experience and a Level 4 AAT qualification, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication with internal teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Sage accounting software highly desirable.
• Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy.
• Familiarity with accounts payable processes and procedures.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with internal teams and external partners.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Posting purchase ledger invoices accurately.
• Manage Accounts inbox and credit applications.
• Assist with addressing and resolving supplier and customer queries.
• Assist with posting of credit card statements and employee expenses.
• Assist with preparation of Management Accounts.
• Respond to internal queries related to accounts.
• Utilise accounting software (Sage) to manage financial transactions.
• Weekly payment runs and updating records on Sage.
