Job summary

Thermoteknix Systems Ltd in Cambridge is seeking a detail‑oriented Finance Assistant to support daily financial operations. You will handle accounts payable, data entry, and use Sage to process transactions accurately.

The role requires 3–4 years’ experience, Level 4 AAT qualification, and strong attention to detail. You will work independently and as part of the finance team, assisting with supplier queries and the preparation of Management Accounts.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in a similar role.
• Level 4 AAT qualified.
• Proficiency with Sage software or similar accounting software an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills to interact with suppliers, customers, and internal staff.

Responsibilities

• Posting purchase ledger invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Manage Accounts inbox
• Manage credit applications.
• Assist with addressing and resolving supplier and customer queries.
• Assist with posting of credit card statements.
• Assist with employee expenses as required.
• Assist with preparation of Management Accounts.
• Respond to internal queries related to accounts.
• Conduct credit card and petty cash reconciliations.
• Maintain organised filing systems for financial documents and records.
• Utilise accounting software (Sage) to manage financial transactions.
• Ad hoc duties as time permits
• Assist with weekly payment runs and update records on Sage.

About You

A detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant within the finance team. The role is essential in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation. The individual will possess strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in financial data management. The Finance Assistant will assist with various accounting tasks, including accounts payable, data entry, and the use of accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule

• Part Time/ Full-Time position (22.5 – 37.5 hours per week) in office
• Flexible – Core hours (10am – 4pm), 30 min lunch break unpaid)
