Job summary

Legal & General in Hove seeks a Senior Finance Analyst to join the Group Head Office Finance team. You will partner with senior stakeholders to deliver robust financial reporting, insightful analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

You'll strengthen reporting processes, support budgeting and forecasting, and deliver high-quality analysis to inform strategic decisions across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred.
• Strong financial analysis, planning and reporting experience in finance/analytics.
• Advanced Excel skills with clear visual reporting.
• Experience using Power BI to develop dashboards/models.
• Continuous improvement mindset with efficiency gains.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Confident in presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes and implement efficient solutions.

We're looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Group Head Office Finance team based in Hove, partnering with senior stakeholders across the business to deliver robust financial reporting, insightful analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine financial expertise with data and technology skills, helping to strengthen reporting processes, improve decision-making and drive greater efficiency across the organisation. Working closely with Finance Business Partners, Group Finance and business leaders, you'll play a key role in understanding costs, identifying trends and delivering high-quality analysis that supports strategic outcomes.

What you’ll be doing:

• Identifying opportunities to improve financial reporting processes and implementing efficient, sustainable solutions
• Supporting monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting and planning activities across assigned business areas
• Leading month-end reporting activities and ensuring financial information is accurate and complete
• Producing insightful financial analysis and management information to support informed decision-making
• Building and enhancing reporting tools, dashboards and Power BI models to improve transparency and efficiency
• Partnering with cost centre owners and stakeholders to support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Monitoring financial controls, accounting standards and compliance requirements across reporting activities
• Supporting business transformation initiatives by providing financial insight, challenge and analytical expertise
• Supporting regulatory reporting submissions to FCA & PRA

Who we’re looking for:

• Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred) with relevant commercial experience
• Strong financial analysis, planning and reporting experience within a finance or analytical environment
• Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to present complex analysis through clear visuals and reporting
• Experience using Power BI and developing reporting models, dashboards or other business intelligence solutions
• A continuous improvement mindset with a track record of enhancing processes and delivering efficiencies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
• Confident communication skills and experience presenting insights to senior stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines
