Job summary

Benjamin Edwards in Lincoln is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join the team, reporting to the Finance Manager. The role covers a range of transactional finance duties with a strong emphasis on accuracy and timely processing.

You will manage aged receivables and payables, perform credit control and reconciliations, post daily bank activity, reconcile statements, process expenses, and support month-end reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Finance Assistant or similar role.
• Experience with accounts payable/receivable processes.
• Experience with credit control and reconciliations.
• Competent Excel user.
• Knowledge of UK VAT rules.
• AAT qualification or working towards one.

Responsibilities

• Manage aged receivables and aged payables.
• Perform credit control.
• Post daily bank activity and bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile supplier and customer statements.
• Process staff and director expenses.
• Assist with month-end procedures and reporting.
• Support ad hoc duties as required.
• Maintain accurate financial records and data integrity.
