Job summary

Benjamin Edwards is seeking an experienced Financial Controller in Lincoln to lead financial reporting, budgeting and control. The role involves ownership of management reporting, cash flow forecasting and liaising with auditors, with a focus on process improvements and strong financial governance.

You will lead a small finance team, collaborate with the Head of Finance and wider operations to deliver accurate, timely financial information and drive business performance.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Strong management accounts and statutory reporting experience.
• Experience of year-end accounts and working with external auditors.
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation and financial control experience.
• Good understanding of cash flow forecasting, budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Own weekly financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Drive improvements to financial reporting processes and data capture.
• Develop trend and variance analysis across P&L areas.
• Lead month-end close and management accounts process.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and provide explanations of variances.
• Oversee year-end statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
