Job summary

Benjamin Edwards in Lincoln is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant to join our busy finance team. This office-based role offers exposure to monthly management accounts, statutory reporting, budgeting and cash flow, with close collaboration to the Financial Controller.

You will support month‑end close, balance sheet reconciliations, year-end audit preparation and forecasting models, and study towards a professional accounting qualification.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Experience in finance or accounting environment.
• Studying towards or progressing through a professional accounting qualification.
• Good communication and stakeholder liaison abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with timely reporting.
• Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with P&L, cash flow and forecasting reporting.
• Support year-end close and statutory accounts preparation.
• Liaise with external auditors and assist with budgeting.
• Develop budgeting/forecasting models and monitor cash flow.
