Benjamin Edwards are recruiting an Assistant Financial Accountant to join an established business in Lincoln. You will support month-end processes, budgeting and forecasting, and work with the Financial Controller to improve reporting and processes.

The role offers study support towards a professional qualification and opportunities to gain experience across management and financial accounting in a collaborative finance team.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Experience in finance or accounting environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with accurate reporting.
• Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
• Investigate variances against budget and prior year.
• Assist with year-end close and statutory accounts.
• Prepare information and schedules for year-end audit.
• Liaise with external auditors.
• Assist with budgets and reforecasts.
• Support overhead budgeting and cost control.
