Dyson Farming is seeking a Finance Assistant to support the Finance Manager and the wider finance team in day-to-day transactional operations with a focus on accounts payable and process improvements. Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring payments are made within agreed timescales
• Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies with colleagues and suppliers
• Build strong working relationships with suppliers and respond to queries promptly
• Prepare and process payment runs in line with controls and policies
• Ensure invoices are correctly coded and recorded with reliable financial information
• Support the month-end close with journals such as accruals and prepayments
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Maintain accurate financial records with clear audit trails
• Assist with preparing financial information and reports for the business
• Work with the Finance Systems Improvement Manager to identify automation opportunities
• Propose practical improvements to finance processes and support new systems and controls
• Share ideas and collaborate with the team to continually improve processes
• Support cash reconciliations, cashflow reporting and processing of interest payments
