We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our growing Accounts team in Thame. The role involves supporting the team to ensure the smooth and effective running of the department within a law firm.

The Finance Team comprises Legal Cashiers and Legal Finance Assistants, reporting to the Head Cashier & Finance Team Manager. The team collaborates in a fast-paced, busy environment to support the firm's accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact banks with queries and cheque cancellations
  • Perform entry-level office administration
  • Issue cheques
  • Process banking transactions
  • Process bills
  • This role will develop to include additional duties as experience increases
What We’re Looking For
  • At least 2 years of office/administrative experience
  • Experience in accounts is desirable
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs with Grade C (or 4) and above, including B (or 6) in Maths
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Methodical work approach
  • Excellent face-to-face and telephone communication skills
  • Knowledge of Word and Excel is a plus
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines, with development during the role
  • Committed team player
