Job description

We're looking for a dedicated and detail-focused Finance Assistant to join our client's team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, managing financial data, and supporting daily office operations. You'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records and a well-organised office environment, working closely with the Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Purchase Ledger
  2. Sales Ledger
  3. Credit Control
  4. Nominal Ledger
  5. Assist in the preparation of the annual financial audit
  6. Organise and maintain accountancy paperwork and filing systems
  7. Provide general administrative support as required
Qualifications and Competencies
  1. Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  2. PC literate (particularly with Word and Excel)
  3. Willingness to learn new skills - training will be provided
  4. Familiarity with any finance systems, Sage preferred but not essential
  5. Previous office or finance-related experience
Personal Attributes
  1. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  2. Effective planning and organisational skills
  3. Good communication and interpersonal abilities
  4. Flexible, proactive, and keen to develop professionally
