Accounts Assistant

Fully Remote Opportunity

GBP28,000 GBP30,000 + Benefits

Are you immediately available or able to start work at short notice?

A fantastic permanent opportunity has just come in for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a rapidly growing business in the IT sector. This is a fully remote role and opportunities like this don t come around often!

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller and working within a small, friendly team, our client is looking for a personable and enthusiastic individual to support day-to-day financial operations. You ll be responsible for processing all purchase and sales ledger transactions for the business.

Ideally, you ll be currently studying AAT and looking to take the next step in your career, with previous experience in an account s role and exposure to either purchase or sales ledger processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full end-to-end purchase ledger processing
  • Handling supplier queries, statement reconciliations and payment runs
  • Raising sales invoices and approving client terms
  • Credit control, chasing outstanding payments via phone and email
  • Assisting with analysis and ad hoc projects (strong Excel skills are essential)
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Payroll processing

This role would suit someone eager to learn and grow within a supportive team. Previous experience in a smaller office environment would be beneficial, especially if you re used to pitching in and wearing multiple hats.
