Job summary

West of England Mayoral Combined Authority is offering a Finance Officer Apprentice role, Level 3, for 2 years, starting in November 2026. You will gain hands-on experience across finance operations in a supportive public-sector environment.

The role involves assisting with management accounts, data collation, and process improvements, with hybrid working options and a competitive salary package.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including English & Maths required.
• Minimum 2 A Levels or equivalent.
• Right to work in the UK and apprenticeship funding eligibility.
• Good communication and basic IT skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Handle queries and liaise with internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Maintain financial and accounting records with timely data collation.
• Assist in the production of monthly management accounts and provide reports to managers.
• Assist the finance team with month end and year end tasks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes.
• Build collaborative relationships within the finance team.
