Job summary

Teach Now Limited in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, is recruiting a motivated Finance Apprentice to join the Capital and Treasury Team. You will gain practical experience in finance while working toward a recognised qualification, supporting cash flow, investments and year-end processes in a public-sector environment.

The role offers a permanent full-time contract with a starting salary of £26,016, progressing to £27,274 per year, and funded training to Level 3 and possibly Level 4.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths as required.
• UK residency for at least three years.
• No existing Level 3 or higher qualification in a finance-related subject.
• Strong numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication, good organisation.

Responsibilities

• Support daily finance administration, including setting up finance codes and processing journals.
• Prepare reports, maintain accurate financial data and respond to colleagues queries.
• Help monitor project spending, comparing actual costs against budgets.
• Assist with forecasts and financial information used to support decisions.
• Prepare working papers and gather information for year-end accounts and audits.
