Finance Apprentice – Salford Quays

Marlowe Fire & Security is the fastest growing fire & security business in the UK. From initial design, supply, and installation, through to ongoing maintenance and monitoring, we maintain the capability to help prevent, detect, and monitor fire and security risks for our customers across the country. We are currently looking to appoint a new Finance Apprentice at our Head Office in Salford Quays.

Marlowe Fire & Security’s Finance Apprentice

This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring finance professional to gain hands-on experience in a busy and dynamic finance department, while achieving a recognised qualification. This is a fully-funded apprenticeship.

The role will evolve over the training period and will include:

1. Gaining a grounding in transactional accountancy within the purchase ledger department (initial period of 6-9 months, depending on progress).
2. Progressing to bank reconciliations, supplier statement reconciliations, and banking processes.
3. Moving into the management accounts department to assist with processing, analysis, and reporting, supervised by experienced team members.
4. Supporting your qualification through the AAT Level 2 course, provided under the apprenticeship scheme, with 20% off-the-job training.
5. Gaining experience in all aspects of finance, including payroll, audits, financial controls, and group accounting.
6. Developing business partnering skills and leadership qualities.
7. Potential progression to full ACCA qualification.

The position is office-based with some home-working options where appropriate.
