We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will support financial operations, ensure accuracy in data entry, and assist with various accounting tasks. This position is perfect for individuals looking to develop their skills in financial services while contributing to the overall efficiency of our organization.

Responsibilities
  1. Reporting to: FD/Head of Finance
  2. Collaborating with external accountants and internal operations teams
  3. Supporting accounts payable processes, including verification of purchase invoices
  4. Raising purchase orders and making purchases for internal teams as per authorization matrix
  5. Managing accounts receivable by raising customer invoices, liaising with operations to identify additional billable services, and investigating high invoice amounts
  6. Utilizing systems like Mintsoft (warehouse management system) and Xero
  7. Responding to invoice queries and resolving issues in collaboration with operations and customers
  8. Managing the Accounts inbox, responding to customer and internal emails
  9. Supporting reporting activities, including weekly KPI and profitability reports
  10. Assisting external accountants and internal teams with ad hoc queries
Qualifications
  1. Previous experience in a finance or accounting role preferred, especially within financial services
  2. Proficiency with accounting software such as Mintsoft, Sage, or similar platforms
  3. Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  4. Familiarity with accounts payable processes is desirable
  5. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective liaising across departments
  7. A proactive problem-solver willing to learn new systems and processes
