Finance Analyst

Contract Type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract - Immediate start

Location: Rugby - (CV21 1QN)
Grade: RCS N
Working pattern: Hybrid working - 3 days a week in the office

Working hours: 37.5 hours a week over 5 days,
Holidays: 25 days holiday, potential bonus

DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business, is seeking a Finance Analyst to play a vital role within our Finance function, performing all accounting processes for their respective operation.

Our team of Finance specialists do more than crunch numbers; they add value by understanding our data and helping our teams make informed, commercial decisions.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your duties, you will be responsible for:

• Performing accounting processes such as month-end closing and reconciliations for the site/customer
• Engaging regularly with site operations teams, Reporting team, BU FCs, and shared services on process inputs and outputs
• Building deep business knowledge for the customer/sites to support decision-making
• Maintaining period-end and year-end closing schedules and ensuring adherence to finance processes
• Producing accurate and timely reports at site/customer level
• Providing updates on process completion, issue resolution, and escalations to the Reporting Manager
• Delivering processes to KPI requirements and supporting performance management
• Managing workflow to meet deadlines
• Performing ad hoc tasks and other administrative activities as required by the Controller or Manager

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• 1-2 years of finance experience
• Customer-facing experience
• Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements
• Experience in accounting within logistics or similar industry (desirable)
