Finance Analyst

Contract Type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract - Immediate start

Location: Birmingham (B46 1TT)

Grade: RCS N

Working pattern: 37.5 hours/week over 5 days, hybrid working (3 days in the office), 25 days holiday, potential bonus

DHL, an award-winning supply chain business, is seeking a Finance Analyst to play a vital role within our Finance team, managing accounting processes for their respective operation.

Our Finance team adds value by understanding data deeply and supporting informed, commercial decision-making.

What does the role entail?

• Perform accounting processes such as month-end and reconciliations for the site/customer
• Engage regularly with site operations, Reporting team, BU FCs, and shared services for process inputs and outputs
• Develop deep business knowledge of the customer/sites to support decision-making
• Maintain period-end and year-end closing schedules accurately and timely
• Ensure adherence to finance processes and produce reports at site/customer level
• Provide updates to the Reporting Manager on process completion, issues, and escalations
• Deliver processes to meet KPI requirements and support performance management
• Manage workflow to meet deadlines
• Perform ad hoc tasks and other admin activities as required by the Controller or Manager

What do we need from you?

• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• 1-2 years of finance experience
• Customer-facing experience
• Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting
• Experience in accounting within logistics or similar industry (desirable)
