Finance Analyst

Contract Type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract - Immediate start

Location: Rugby (CV21 1QN)
Grade: RCS N
Hybrid working: 3 days a week in the office

Working pattern: 37.5 hours a week over 5 days, 25 days holiday, potential bonus

DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business, is seeking a Finance Analyst to play a vital role within our Finance function, performing all accounting processes for their respective operation.

Our team of Finance specialists do more than crunch numbers; they add value by understanding our data and helping teams make informed, commercial decisions.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your duties, you will be responsible for:

• Performing accounting processes such as month-end closing and reconciliations for the site/customer
• Engaging regularly with site operations, Reporting team, BU FCs, and shared services to coordinate processes
• Building deep business knowledge of the customer/sites to support decision-making
• Maintaining period-end and year-end closing schedules, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Providing regular updates to the Reporting Manager on process completion, issues, and escalations
• Delivering processes to meet KPI requirements and supporting performance management
• Managing workflow to meet deadlines
• Performing ad hoc tasks and other administrative activities as required by management

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• 1-2 years of finance experience
• Customer-facing experience
• Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting
• Experience in accounting within logistics or similar industry (desirable)
