Finance Analyst

Contract Type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract - Immediate start

Location: Rugby (CV21 1QN)
Grade: RCS N
Working pattern: Hybrid (3 days a week in the office)

Working hours: 37.5 hours/week over 5 days, 25 days holiday, potential bonus

DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business, is seeking a Finance Analyst to play a vital role within our Finance function, performing accounting processes for their respective operation.

Our Finance team adds value by understanding data deeply and supporting informed, commercial decision-making.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

Responsibilities include:

• Performing accounting processes such as month-end closing and reconciliations for the site/customer
• Engaging regularly with site operations, reporting teams, BU FCs, and shared services
• Building deep business knowledge to support decision-making
• Maintaining period-end and year-end closing schedules
• Ensuring adherence to finance processes and timely report production
• Providing updates to the Reporting Manager on process completion and issues
• Delivering processes to meet KPI requirements and supporting performance management
• Managing workflow to meet deadlines
• Performing ad hoc tasks and other administrative activities as required

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas
• Effective communication skills
• Teamwork ability
• 1-2 years of finance experience
• Customer-facing experience
• Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting
• Experience in accounting within logistics or similar industries (desirable)
