Finance Analyst

Contract Type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract - Immediate start

Location: Birmingham (B46 1TT)

Grade: RCS N

Working pattern: 37.5 hours a week over 5 days, hybrid working (3 days in the office), 25 days holiday, potential bonus

DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business, is seeking a Finance Analyst to perform accounting processes and add value through data analysis within our Finance function.

Our Finance team goes beyond number crunching; they provide insights that help our teams make informed, strategic decisions.

What does the role entail?

• Perform accounting processes such as month-end and reconciliations for the site/customer
• Engage regularly with site operations, reporting teams, BU FCs, and shared services
• Develop deep business knowledge to support decision-making
• Maintain period-end and year-end closing schedules, ensuring timely and accurate reports
• Provide updates to the Reporting Manager on process status, issues, and escalations
• Deliver processes according to KPI requirements and support performance management
• Manage workflow to meet deadlines
• Perform ad hoc tasks and other operational activities as required

What do we need from you?

• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas
• Effective communication skills
• Teamwork ability
• 1-2 years of finance experience
• Customer-facing experience
• Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting
• Experience in logistics or similar industry (desirable)
