Job summary

Silcom Recruitment is seeking a Finance Analyst to join our client’s finance team near the outskirts of Southampton. You will analyze data, drive efficiency, and help identify profit-driving strategies in collaboration with the Finance Controller designate and team.

The role requires a minimum of five years of accounting experience, advanced Excel skills (macros, VBA, and SQL preferred), and strong communication to present findings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• Proven track record in data analysis.
• Strong Excel skills with macros/VBA/SQL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyse financial data, monitor cash flow, and review KPI performance to identify efficiency and profit-driving opportunities.
• Optimisation and continuous improvement experience.
• Preparing management accounts and supporting year-end audits.
• Collaborate with Financial Controller to review reports, explain variances, and address issues.
• Support payroll analysis, stock checks, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Develop and refine financial spreadsheets and working documents to improve processes.
• Communicate findings and contribute to team development.
