The Opportunity Hub UK Ltd in Southampton is seeking a Finance Analyst to turn numbers into clear business decisions. You’ll produce monthly management accounts, perform variance analysis and build financial models to support budgeting and forecasting.

You will reconcile ledgers, prepare board-level reporting packs with commentary and collaborate with department heads on cost control and margin improvement, while supporting statutory reporting and audits.

Formación

• Part-qualified or newly qualified accounting background (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
• Strong Excel skills with advanced formulas and modelling experience.
• Experience with financial systems such as Sage or NetSuite.
• Attention to detail and ability to challenge numbers when needed.
• Clear written and verbal communication for non-finance audiences.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Produce monthly management accounts and variance analysis for senior stakeholders

Build and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting cycles

Partner with department heads on cost control and margin improvement

Support the wider finance team on statutory reporting and audit requests

Here are the skills you’ll need:

A part-qualified or newly qualified accountancy background (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)

Solid Excel skills. Advanced formulas and modelling, not just pivot tables

Working knowledge of financial systems such as Sage, NetSuite or similar

Enough confidence to challenge a number that doesn’t look right

Clear written and verbal communication for non-finance audiences

An eye for detail that doesn’t slow you down on deadline day
