Job description

Broadmead Primary School are looking to recruit a Finance and Admin Assistant to join their front office team at our lovely school. This role is working 4 days per week between 08.00-16.00, required days to be agreed with the hiring manager. This role is 40 weeks per year which is term time only, plus INSET days and 1 additional week.

Main objectives of the post
  • To provide finance and administrative support to the School Business Manager.
  • To provide a reception service for all callers to the school.
  • To provide general administrative support.
  • Specific responsibilities include creation and maintenance of accurate and confidential records.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a criminal disclosures and declarations form prior to interview. References will be requested for those shortlisted only and prior to interview. An Enhanced DBS certificate will be required on provisional offer, including a check of the Children’s Barred List. Further vetting checks, in line with the requirements of Keeping children safe in education 2026 will be completed following a provisional offer of appointment. Where applicable, if an applicant with a provisional offer of employment has lived and/or worked outside the UK, they will be required to obtain a Certificate of Good Conduct or other overseas police check. Candidates will be required to arrange this themselves if they do not already have the necessary certificate.
