Job Title: Administration Assistant Level 1

Actual Annual Salary:£22,947 - £25,010 (Based on hours and working weeks)

Full Time Equivalent Salary:£26,798 - £29,208 (CLF Grade B) Based on Full Time hours, All Year Round.

Contract Type:Permanent

Hours:Part-time, 37 hours per week Term Time Only (plus INSET Days)

Provisional Start Date:02 November 2026

Your opportunity to play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient running of our academy, whilst becoming part of a friendly and dedicated team.

We are looking for a highly organised and professional Administration Assistant to provide general administrative and clerical support across the academy. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will help ensure the effective delivery of administrative processes, provide excellent customer service, and contribute positively to the day-to-day operations of the school.

Working 37 hours per week, term time only plus INSET days, you will support a range of administrative functions including reception duties, maintaining records, responding to enquiries, and assisting with key academy activities.

About you:

You will:

  • Hold GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent qualifications/relevant experience), with strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Have experience in an administrative environment, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and supporting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Be highly organised, with strong planning skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Have experience of undertaking a range of administrative tasks and be confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office applications and email.
  • Be able to work both independently and collaboratively within a busy team environment.
  • Demonstrate empathy, professionalism and discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential information.
  • Have excellent customer service skills and a positive, flexible approach to work.
What you’ll be doing:
  • Providing general administrative and clerical support to the academy.
  • Supporting reception services, welcoming visitors and responding to telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries.
  • Maintaining accurate records, databases and management information systems.
  • Preparing correspondence, reports, mail merges, meeting notes and other documentation.
  • Supporting the administration of academy activities, events, visits and wider school processes.
  • Ordering and maintaining office supplies and resources.
  • Assisting with filing, photocopying, printing and other routine office duties.
  • Ensuring all administrative work is completed accurately, confidentially and within required timescales.
