Level 3 qualification desirable; applicants should include details in their statement, especially for SEN experience. The successful candidate will assist the Class teacher and SENDCo, track progress for specific pupil groups, and deliver targeted interventions to boost learning.

Job description

We are looking to recruit an experienced, aspirational and energetic teaching assistant to join our large team of support staff in KS2. This position is term time only, working 39 weeks per year and 25 hours per week. The working hours are Monday - Friday 9:00am - 3pm. We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants with school based experiences and also with experiences supporting children with SEN.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning under the supervision of the Class teacher and SENDCo.
  • Tracking performance of specified groups of pupils.
  • Delivering interventions to support pupil progress.

Where applicable, if an applicant with a provisional offer of employment has lived and/or worked outside the UK, they will be required to obtain a Certificate of Good Conduct or other overseas police check.
