Job summary

Landmark Information Group Ltd is seeking a proactive Accountant to join the Finance team in Exeter. You will own key month-end processes, ensure timely financial reporting, and maintain ledger integrity while supporting statutory accounts and group reporting.

You will analyse financial data, resolve discrepancies, and contribute to continuous process improvements within a fast-paced environment. Collaboration across the business is essential for accurate, high-quality output.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 4 qualification.
• Strong financial reporting, reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Experience supporting audits, statutory accounts or group reporting.
• Understanding of accounting principles, controls and governance.
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of key month-end accounting processes and ensure delivery against financial reporting deadlines.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, review postings, analyse financial data and support balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with statutory accounts preparation and twice-yearly group reporting requirements.
• Investigate accounting discrepancies, resolve issues and post corrective entries as needed.
• Prepare cashflow forecasts and support payment processes, including cover for the AP Supervisor.
• Prepare VAT returns, support year-end audits and identify opportunities to improve finance processes and controls.
