Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of key month-end accounting processes and ensure delivery against financial reporting deadlines.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, review postings, analyse financial data and support balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with statutory accounts preparation and twice-yearly group reporting requirements.
• Investigate accounting discrepancies, resolve issues and post corrective entries as needed.
• Prepare cashflow forecasts and support payment processes, including cover for the AP Supervisor.
• Prepare VAT returns, support year-end audits and identify opportunities to improve finance processes and controls.

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting statutory and group reporting requirements, and ensuring the integrity of our financial processes. Acting as a bridge between the Financial Accountant and Assistant Accountants, you'll provide guidance and support to colleagues while helping drive consistency and efficiency across the wider finance function. The role will involve:

• Taking ownership of key month-end accounting processes and ensuring delivery against financial reporting deadlines.
• Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, reviewing postings, analysing financial data, and supporting balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assisting with statutory accounts preparation and twice-yearly group reporting requirements.
• Investigating accounting discrepancies, resolving issues, and posting corrective entries where required.
• Preparing cashflow forecasts and supporting payment processes, including acting as cover for the AP Supervisor.
• Preparing VAT returns, supporting year-end audits, and identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and controls.
